Modern Cowboy Shoot
A multi-gun match for all kinds of equipment

10am CST, March 8th, 2009
Sign-up 9AM, mandatory shooters meeting at 9:45AM
Match fee $15
Bring 80 Rifle, 80 Pistol, and 30 Shotgun birdshot rounds.

Classes will be: Cowboy, Cowboy WB, Wild Bunch, Dough Boy, GI, Military, Modern Manual, Modern Auto, Space Age, .22

Pistol ammunition restricted to 1000fps on account of steel.

Shotguns will have hammer down on an empty chamber, 5 rounds in the magazine, shotguns not able to be loaded like that will have to be loaded on the clock.

Pistols will have hammer down on an empty chamber, 5 rounds in the cylinder or magazine, all magazines and speed loaders will be loaded with only 5 rounds for a total of 15 rounds.

Rifles that can be put into condition 3 (hammer down on an empty chamber) will be inspected and the magazines will be loaded at the loading table.

Rifles that cant be put in condition 3 (Garand and such)will be loaded on the line.

Rifles and their magazines will have a maximum of 10 rounds, stages are Garand neutral and only 16 rifle rounds will be taken to the line.

 

Class descriptions

 Cowboy: shooting under normal cowboy rules and dress code.

A second rifle may be used to make 16 rounds, may use a long range rifle or a .22.

A third six gun may be used, can be a .22.

Shotgun loaded on the clock with 2 rounds maximum.

Cowboy WB: Same as above except the shotgun can be loaded with 5 rounds.                   

Wild Bunch: Same as Cowboy WB except the pistol can be a 1911.

Dough Boy: Military bolt action rifles.

Pistols must be military type used during WW1 (any 1911, 1917 revolver, Webley, Victory revolver, Luger, mauser, ect.)

Shotgun must be a pump.

GI: Rifles may be M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Tommy gun, any other WW2 rifle.

Pistols must be military type used during WW2 (any 1911, Webley, victory revolver, Luger, Walther P38)

Military: Any semi-auto military rifles.

Pistols must be a military type (any 1911, Beretta 92, S&W M&P.

Shotgun must be a pump.

Modern Manual: Rifle and shotgun must be manually operated (bolt action, pump, lever)

Any iron sighted pistol may be used.

Modern Auto: Any iron sighted semi-auto rifle, pistol or shotgun may be used.

Space Age: This class is for scopes, optics, electronic ignition, satellite guided munitions.

.22: any .22 rifle and pistol may be used.
