Results of  the Steel Challenge of 5/12/2007

45 competitors came out on a perfect shooting day in May to enjoy some excellent steel plate competition. Thanks to Rangemaster Joe Bruscemi for the new shooting stages that everyone enjoyed.  In particular, the appearance of the Texas Star for the first time on Stage Five caused a bit of a stir, not to mention some depleted ammunition supplies.  Best run observed was Larry Fowble's 4.43 seconds.  Wow.
A huge thanks to my friends John Miklos, Big Pete Briggs and RePete Briggs for all their help with set up on Saturday.
Thanks, too, to all those who helped set up/tear down, RO, and score at the match. I hope you all had a great a time!  Congratulations to all the winners!

Remember, we have expanded the competition to include an

Open division for those of you who would like to shoot your compensated/ported, electronic scoped and limited class guns.

 There will be 4 divisions, OPEN, LIMITED, REVOLVER and IDPA.  The  equipment used  should be appropriate for your

division.  The steel challenge will remain 5 courses of fire each shot 3 times from surrender (IDPA division will be shot from

concealment). Average the 2 best times and throw away the worst. Certificates will  be awarded by Lewis Class in which there

are at least 4 competitors. The Shotgun Steel Challenge will immediately following the pistol competition all year. Same format,

3 stages, OPEN, AUTO and PUMP divisions. NPCCC will host the next Pistol/Shotgun Steel Challenge, on Saturday, June 9th. 

Remember, the steel plate matches will be on the 2^nd Saturday of each month (weather permitting).  Sign up is at 0830 am

and the pistol match will start at 9000 am. Tell all your friends what a great time you had at this match and bring them to the
